For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with up to 2 years of RN experience and $20,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of RN work experience!

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months' separation from employment.

In this role, you will guide patients through every step of the care continuum, providing support from diagnosis through treatment and survivorship. Working within established oncology pathways, you'll help ensure timely access to services both within the organization and throughout the community. Summary:
The Registered Nurse - Patient Navigator - MHMG MMCP role guides patients through the care continuum, establishing contact with recurrent and newly diagnosed cancer patients and/or family members, or caregivers. The Patient Navigator will understand the clinical pathways established by the Oncology Program and will direct the patients to health care services within the organization, at outside facilities, and within the community for timely diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required or must complete BSN within three years of start date.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Oncology certification or defined process for achieving certification required.
  3. Experience: Experience working with oncology patients and families preferred. Experience in community outreach preferred.
