Job Description

If you're driven to solve complex supplier quality challenges and want your work to directly improve product performance, reliability, and delivery-this role puts you at the center of it.

As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will lead the investigation, analysis, and resolution of supplier-related quality issues while strengthening supplier performance and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.

What You'll Own and Drive

  • Lead validation, qualification, and change control activities through thorough documentation and technical review

  • Ensure external production processes align with internal standards for consistency, traceability, and regulatory compliance

  • Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, delivery delays, and supplier quality issues quickly and effectively

  • Act as the key liaison between internal engineering/operations teams and external manufacturing partners to drive alignment on changes, escalations, and quality expectations

  • Manage investigations into externally manufactured product issues, including deviations and change controls

  • Confirm effectiveness and long-term sustainability of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

  • Ensure suppliers meet all internal quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements

What You'll Do:

  • Resolve supplier quality issues: Investigate, analyze, and drive timely resolution of supplier non-conformances using structured root cause and corrective action methods

  • Ensure supplier compliance and performance: Conduct supplier audits, monitor KPIs, and ensure adherence to internal standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements

  • Drive continuous improvement: Analyze defect trends, identify systemic issues, and lead initiatives that improve supplier quality, reliability, and operational efficiency

  • Partner cross-functionally: Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to align on requirements, support supplier selection and qualification, and drive performance improvements

  • Manage supplier relationships: Build strong partnerships with suppliers, fostering accountability, transparency, and shared quality goals

  • Maintain documentation and reporting: Ensure accurate records of investigations, audits, and improvement activities; provide clear, actionable updates to stakeholders

  • Mitigate risk and build capability: Identify supplier risks, implement mitigation strategies, and train suppliers on quality standards, processes, and best practices

Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent combination of experience, training, and certifications)

  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or ISO9001- A Must Have!

  • At least 5years of hands-on manufacturing experience (aerospace strongly preferred)

  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and quality control processes

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and strong problem-solving capability

  • Ability to travel up to60%

Annual Hiring Range: $93,000-$120,000. Final rate will be determined by relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
