Pay Rate: $43-48/hr (DOE)
Location: Dublin, VA
Start Date: ASAP
Job Type: Contract or Direct Hire
Schedule: M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Design, develop, and implement new or revised manufacturing processes for efficient and cost-effective mass production.
* Design and optimize manufacturing equipment layouts to ensure maximum productivity and workflow efficiency.
* Develop and define the sequence of production operations and establish procedures for fabrication of tools and equipment.
* Adapt and improve machinery and production systems in response to plant conditions and operational challenges.
* Conduct testing and validation activities throughout all stages of production to monitor process control and performance.
* Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions to resolve production problems.
* Collaborate with Product Design Engineering to ensure product specifications align with manufacturing capabilities and equipment utilization.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
* Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor"s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
* 2-5 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
* Experience supporting production environments and implementing process improvements.
* Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, tooling design, and production workflows.
* Experience troubleshooting and resolving production-related issues.
* Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently with general supervision.
* Effective communication skills with the ability to influence others through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
* Practical application of engineering principles typically gained through education and hands-on work experience.
* Ability to manage moderately difficult technical problems that are not typically complex in scope.
* Experience supporting production compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
* Demonstrated ability to balance technical requirements with operational and business objectives.

PREFERRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
* Exposure to ERP/MRP systems.
* Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt preferred).
* Experience with process validation and statistical analysis tools (Minitab or equivalent).
* Prior experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
