Position Summary
The Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for the efficient and accurate servicing of commercial and small business loans. This includes managing early collection efforts, collateral and insurance tracking, covenant compliance monitoring, annual review tracking, and processing loan modifications and workouts. This role supports the ongoing health and performance of the loan portfolio by ensuring compliance with loan terms, maintaining complete and accurate records, and collaborating with internal teams and borrowers to resolve servicing needs and maintain a positive member experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
* Manage the ongoing loan servicing activities.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan files and records.
* Prepare and maintain loan documentation, including loan modifications, collateral releases, and extensions.
* Ensure all loan-related documentation-such as UCC filings, insurance policies, and title reports-is properly recorded, tracked and maintained.
* Audit loan information for inaccuracies or missing data and resolve discrepancies.
* Proactively contact members and identifying solutions to bring accounts current.
* Process requests for loan modifications, including loan decreases, collateral changes, change in terms, and lien releases.
* Prepare and review portfolio reports on a monthly basis.
* Monitor loan compliance with loan agreements, covenants, and reporting requirements.
* Maintain the Exception Tracking Report and ensure accurate monitoring of outstanding annual review requirements, including member followup to obtain financial statements and supporting documentation.
* Monitor and track insurance coverage for collateral to ensure compliance with loan terms.
* Continuously look for process improvement opportunities and bring forward ideas for automation and enhanced efficiency.

Required Minimum Qualifications and Skills
Knowledge
* 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry that includes underwriting, lending and loan processing experience.
* Well-versed knowledge of business lending.
* Broad cross functional knowledge of department's role and how it connects to Affinity Plus's operations, functions and services.

Work Environment
* This is a Virtual First role requiring reliable internet access and home office setup.
* Sitting 75% and standing 25 %
* Working at a computer 75% of the day, utilizing the phone 50%.
* Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, or crouching when appropriate, on occasion
* Repetitive movements, including but not limited to typing, using a mouse, phones, etc.
* Lift, carry, push or pull up to approximately 30 pounds
* Requires onsite presence based on coordination of work with other employees and/or departments. May require travel to attend on-site meetings/events for collaboration, connection, project work, All-Employee Day, etc.

Required Work Schedule

Standard Monday through Friday business hours with a willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed. Consistent and reliable attendance is a required essential function of this role to meet the needs of the department/team and organization.

Location

This position will have the opportunity to work mostly virtual, with onsite expectations for team meetings and other events throughout the year, typically held in St. Paul, MN.

Compensation

This position has a starting pay range of $24.28 - $30.96 per hour.

This range reflects what we anticipate offering a successful candidate based on factors such as the role's responsibilities, required qualifications, and relevant experience. The actual pay may vary depending on the selected candidate's skills, experience, and other qualifications.
