What to Expect
As a Senior Technical Program Manager on the Autopilot and Electronic Systems Team, you'll drive hardware product development for Tesla's Vehicle Controllers & Actuation-the critical components that bring real-world AI to life, enabling seamless autonomous driving and revolutionizing transportation. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure program success through strategic planning, execution, and clear communication, while leading seamless collaboration across cross-functional teams in our dynamic, mission-driven environment.
What You'll Do
- Define and document engineering program goals, scope, and requirements in alignment with stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and success
- Develop comprehensive program roadmaps, timelines, and milestones, including critical paths and deliverables, to guide efficient execution
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver programs on time, aligning efforts with project goals and optimizing productivity by prioritizing high-impact activities
- Track engineering sample demand and supply, collaborating with supply chain teams to meet key milestones and avoid bottlenecks
- Manage scope, schedule changes, risks, and issues, developing mitigation and contingency plans to protect timelines, deliverables, and overall program objectives
- Foster open communication with stakeholders, setting and managing expectations to build trust and resolve concerns proactively
- Monitor program progress, delivering regular status updates with key metrics, achievements, challenges, and escalations to keep teams informed and agile
- Drive continuous improvement in project management methodologies and processes, enhancing efficiency and outcomes for cross-functional engineering teams
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience with a proven track record of exceptional performance
- 6+ years of experience in program management within an engineering or technical industry, including 3+ years leading cross-functional teams in the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of complex, high-volume hardware products
- Proven ability to rapidly grasp complex technical concepts
- Strong attention to detail, paired with excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Hands-on design engineering experience in electromechanical product design is highly valued
- Familiarity with PCB circuit design, PCBA debugging and manufacturing, plastic injection molding, or die casting in high-volume production environments is highly valued

Expected Compensation
$96,800 - $217,200/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
