Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Contracts team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The Government Contracts Intern will gain hands-on experience with the various stages of contracts administration and execution, from the preparation of bid proposals, to negotiation, to contract administration, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Familiarity with government procurement processes is a plus.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Additional Qualifications:
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
    • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of or interest in government regulations and compliance is preferred.
    • Knowledge or previous experience using an ERP or CostPoint is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contract Support: Assist in drafting and reviewing contract documents, including Request for Proposals (RFPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and contracts.
  • Document Management: Maintain accurate records of contracts, amendments, and other documents in electronic formats.
  • Bid Process Assistance: Assist in the preparation and submission of bid proposals, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is complete.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Conduct research on federal and state procurement laws and regulations to ensure contracts meet legal and regulatory standards.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Assist in generating reports on contracts activities and contract compliance.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the contracts team as needed.
