Leprino Foods Company, a global leader in the dairy food and ingredient industry, is seeking a Janitorial Floor Tech to join our team in Roswell, NM. Leprino Foods is the world's largest supplier of mozzarella cheese and one of the largest suppliers of premium dairy nutrition ingredients. Our customers and business partners span the globe and include many of the world's largest food companies, restaurant chains and distributors. The Floor Tech is primarily responsible for performing floor mopping, buffing, stripping & waxing and keeping up the daily appearance of the floors in hallways, offices, conference rooms etc. The Floor Tech may be pulled to cover Lead duties, if necessary, may also be pulled to perform Janitorial housekeeping duties as needed andis expected to maintain a clean environment, adhere to all the Good Manufacturing Practices, wear Proper Protective Equipment, Understand Standard Operating Procedures and know Critical Control Points pertaining to Food Safety and USDA regulations. The Floor Tech must be able to read/write and perform basic arithmetic in order to understand written instructions, complete work orders, and understands the safe handling procedures for cleaning chemicals. Must become proficient in the operation of the floor scrubber, use of stripper/sealer and floor wax, vacuum cleaner, and carpet cleaner. The Floor Tech will communicate with others to deliver quality customer service to their areas. The incumbent must wear personal protective equipment in high noise areas, when handling chemicals, etc. and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's). This position could require the incumbent to have to jump in and help w/ Janitorial Technician duties and responsibilities could change depending on Supervisor and business needs. At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role is $19.14 with step increase at 6 months. In addition, a night shift premium of $1.10 per hour is added for hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM.
