Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Inventory/Supply Coordinator.
In this role, the successful candidate Serves a Buyer for all Clinical Cancer Center locations. Responsible for ensuring an uninterrupted supply of materials and services throughout the Clinical Cancer Center and Off-Site Locations. Assists the Manager of Materials Management in the control of inventory supplies maintained under perpetual inventory. Assists in accomplishing facility inventory turn goals and other inventory related objectives within the department, including but not limited to accurate recommended reorder points, reorder quantities, limit out of stock issues and ongoing evaluation of supply movement.
Job Responsibilities:
- All other related duties as required.
- Recognizes a need and ensures that the needed item or service is described accurately by the requesting department.
- Provides purchase requisitions and purchase orders for goods and services in a timely manner. Prepares and maintains all required documentations. Source additional information
- Initiates follow-up on orders to clarify, change or resolve discrepancies. Schedules deliveries of supplies and ensures that established schedules are met. Confers with vendors and suppliers to determine cause of late deliveries and to expedite such deliveries where feasible.
- Supervises MM staff, delegate tasks, and provide guidance when necessary.
- Manages inventory, establishes par levels, reorder level and control processes.
- Maintains inventory control accuracy through periodic cycle count, full physical inventories in accordance with institution policies.
- Handles all match exceptions; work with AP to resolve invoice payment issues.
- Works with the data integrity team when item add or change is required.
- Works with receiving to resolve any receiving problem that arises and assist MM staff with any distribution problem that arises.
- Maintains Omnicell database item changes, par changes, and item ID changes.
- Plans, organizes and manages projects through completion.
- Participates in cost control activities by seeking the most effective method of delivering services.
- Cooperates with internal and external customers to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintains accurate and timely processing of all purchase order transactions to ensure timely receipt and payment.
- Assists end users in researching and obtaining best value products and services to assure the proper needs and goals are met.
- Provides accurate and timely reports to assist departments with decision support information.
- Ensures that the standards of operations of the department are in compliance with standards set by JCAHO and other regulatory agencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
1 or more years of relevant experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a related field. Working knowledge of PeopleSoft.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66,299.99 - $78,814.77 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
