How will you make history here...

This position will be responsible for business quality demands supporting category level strategy and innovation. Key business partners will be supply chain category leads, R&D, and Brand and Marketing teams. The role will support category commercialization processes (gating through launch), enabler ideation and process management, technical leadership on business quality focused Quality systems, programs, and procedures, as well as owners of product quality characteristics and standards. The role will also be responsible for category level consumer trends and insights, consumer complaints, sales / customer / consumer inquiries.

Who will you partner with

1) Partner with R&D, Marketing, SC, and Field Quality on new product commercialization, quality improvement projects, and enabler programs.

2) Technical lead for the analysis of category level consumer trends and data, consumer complaints, sales inquiries, product evaluations and competitive benchmarking.

3) Maintain quality commercialization, innovation, enabler, and charter programs and assign resources as appropriate.

4) Provide insight and support in the development, implementation, and on-going tracking of key quality KPIs.

5) Provide direction and support to business quality team.

What will you do

1) Support innovation through rigorous influence supporting the commercialization processes (gating through launch) ensuring food safety and quality is designed into the process.

2) Champion critical category product quality charters focused on complaint reduction, capability improvements, waste reduction, and continuous improvement.

3) Communicate to key stakeholders on overall category quality performance, charter progress, issue resolution, and key performance indicators.

4) Facilitate customer engagement as necessary in support of issue / inquiry resolution.

What do you bring to the table (must have)

1) BS Food Science Degree or related Science Degree

2) 8+ years in food industry or relevant industry experience

3) Knowledge, skill, and abilities required:

  • Expert abilities and decision making for Food Safety, Regulatory, and Quality challenges

  • Strong knowledge of Product processing.

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with urgency via prioritization and program management skills.

  • Capable of influencing development steps used in the Innovation and Commercialization process to leverage design in achieving consumer safety and quality objectives (example; Food Safety Plan Assessment), drives improvement of consumer-based specification

  • Knowledge of Quality Standards, Systems, and Quality Policies, with skills and ability to execute against requirements.

  • Strong knowledge and general business acumen to support and influence Marketing and R&D.

  • Capable of engaging other businesses unit quality partners in development and standardization of; Quality manuals, policies, procedures, and data templates, audit standards and procedures, and Quality Key Performance Indicators.

  • Knowledgeable in Statistical Process Control programs, Design of Experiment and Process capability studies

  • Ability to drive organizational alignment on Quality objectives with an enterprise-wide mindset, and the adaptation of structure, processes, and systems to achieve objectives.

  • Record of leadership and demonstrated success in collaborative development, documentation, planning, and implementation and continuous improvement of quality systems.

  • Assertive, yet collaborative. Demonstrated skills influencing components of the company, tough-mindedness, vision, and political savvy to manage internally and externally.

  • Dedicated work habits, takes initiative, sets high standards

  • Ability to manage, coach and develop people, talent, and skills.

  • Ability to demonstrate & execute against leadership behaviors.

  • Strong business partnering and relationship management skills

Working Conditions:

1) Office Conditions, Camden, NJ - 15-20% Travel

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$150,200-$216,000

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
