Now, we're entering a new phase of growth and are looking for a Technical Systems Analyst to support and maintain enterprise database environments and serve as a key liaison between core business systems (ERP, PLM, and related platforms) and internal analytics functions.This role is primarily focused on IT-level support and administration of Microsoft SQL Server environments, including direct support of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) operations, database structure maintenance, and backend troubleshooting.The Technical Systems Analyst will act as the technical bridge between ERP/PLM system owners and the Data Analytics function, ensuring system data structures, integrations, and backend processes are stable, secure, and optimized to support reporting, operational decision-making, and executive visibility.


This position requires strong T-SQL proficiency, disciplined change management practices, and the ability to diagnose and resolve cross-system data and integration issues in a fast-paced, defense-focused environment.

What You'll Do


  • Provide day-to-day support for Microsoft SQL Server databases using SSMS
  • Develop and modify T-SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support operational and reporting needs
  • Assist in troubleshooting data discrepancies between ERP, PLM, and downstream reporting systems
  • Support database maintenance activities including indexing, performance monitoring, and basic optimization
  • Maintain database security roles, permissions, and user access controls under established policies
  • Document database structures, integrations, and change history to support maintainability
  • Coordinate with IT infrastructure teams on backups, patching, and environment updates
  • Support testing and validation efforts during ERP/PLM updates or system changes
  • Serve as a technical liaison between enterprise system stakeholders and the Data Analytics function to clarify data structures and integration logic


Requirements


  • 2-5 years of experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server in an IT or enterprise systems environment
  • Proficiency in T-SQL, including writing and troubleshooting queries, views, and stored procedures
  • Hands-on experience using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
  • Experience supporting or interacting with ERP, PLM, or similar enterprise systems
  • Understanding of database fundamentals, indexing concepts, and data integrity principles
  • Familiarity with user access management and basic database security practices
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to document technical processes and communicate clearly across departments
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience supporting SQL Server environments and enterprise system integrations
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance or higher, as required


Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, and move about regularly throughout the day and lift / carry up to 25 pounds. Must have manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment. Must be physically capable of the assigned duties.

Work Environment

This position typically operates in a standard office setting and manufacturing environment. This role requires use of standard office and manufacturing equipment and may require occasional travel to customer locations or facilities. This position may have exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and non-climate-controlled environments. May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) depending on the environment. This is a fast-paced work environment and requires cross-differential collaboration with independent and team-based responsibilities. Standard work hours for this position are 8:30am-5:00pm with occasional overtime as operational needs demand.
