Summary: This role is within Nintendo of America (NOA)'s IT Risk & Security department, and performs entry level technical analysis, design and development of enterprise security using appropriate technologies to support department and company objectives.

Description of Duties:



  • Performs limited risk assessments, vulnerability management, penetration testing and patch management for various technologies and applications.
  • Works closely with engineering teams to identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities.
  • Participates in the development and modification of technology systems, addressing functional performance, security, quality, operations and monitoring needs.
  • Help develop appropriate monitoring of access and systems logs that detect abnormal behavior.
  • Implements organizational security standards and provides low-risk security recommendations for services.
  • Monitors networks and systems for suspicious activity through analysis of security events and logs.
  • Perform security reviews of existing network infrastructure deployments to identify security gaps or vulnerabilities.
  • Engages in incident response activities.
  • Provides engineering support for various technologies.
  • Progressively develops expertise, applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.



Summary of Requirements:



  • Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of related security engineering experience.
  • Professional experience with moderate understanding of network security and application security.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, TLS) and technologies including
  • firewalls, TLS, IDS/IPS system, cryptographic systems, identity management systems, RADIUS, etc.
  • Experience with programming/scripting.
  • Knowledge of OS security (Windows/Linux), authentication, access control, patching, and system hardening.
  • Understanding of networking topologies and protocols.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.



Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States to be considered. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

This position is HYBRID in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division.This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.

This position includes the base pay range listed below, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
