Idaho National Laboratory seeks High Performance Computing Professionals to maintain and optimize the computing infrastructure that powers groundbreaking research in nuclear energy, national security, and scientific discovery. You'll diagnose and solve operational problems in HPC systems, install, configure, and maintain system software, develop automation scripts for processes, and troubleshoot and tune systems for optimal performance. Your responsibilities include conducting system performance analysis, interacting with users to resolve issues and provide training, documenting administration procedures, assisting with backups of classified and unclassified networks, applying security updates in accordance with NIST controls, and collaborating with cybersecurity personnel to address critical vulnerabilities. Your expertise with Linux administration tools, common services, protocols, and ports will ensure that researchers have access to the high-performance computing resources needed to advance next-generation technologies. **********This is a one year Project Hire**************** Essential Job Functions:

Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our REC facility with every other Friday off.
