Overview The Reporting Manager leads the development, governance, and delivery of high-quality reporting and data insights that support operational, regulatory, audit, and business decision making. This role oversees a complex reporting processes, including CC&B ad hoc data extraction, development of OUA platform reporting, and audit ready data validation. The Reporting Manager partners closely with internal stakeholders, internal and external auditors and cross functional teams to ensure reporting accuracy, transparency, and alignment with business priorities. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, business acumen, and exemplary leadership skills to manage a high performing reporting function. Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Identify issues, develop solutions, and drive continuous process improvements. Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate findings, implement enhancements, and support customerfocused initiatives through effective problemsolving and informed decisionmaking.
- Lead a team responsible for recurring, ad hoc, operational, and regulatory reporting across multiple data systems and business domains. This Role requires managing a team of contractors.
- Oversee CC&B (Customer Care & Billing) data extractions and ad hoc reporting requests, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment with established audit and compliance expectations.
- Serve as the primary liaison for external auditor (PwC) and other regulatory and internal audit teams by preparing requested datasets, ensuring audit ready documentation, and supporting walkthroughs of reporting logic and data lineage.
- Lead Functional Design and platform management for Oracle Utilities Analytics (OUA), including requirements gathering, functional specifications, reporting and dashboard design, data validation, user support, and collaboration with IT teams on enhancements, performance optimization, and production support.
- Establish and maintain reporting standards, quality controls, audit trails, and documentation to ensure data integrity across all deliverables, while collaborating with business leaders to translate complex reporting needs into clear, actionable insights that drive operational performance and strategic planning across the Data Pull and OUA Production Reporting teams.
- Conduct root cause analyses to resolve data discrepancies and improve data quality, partnering with IT, data governance, and operational teams, while applying strong business acumen to interpret trends, identify performance gaps, and recommend KPI driven improvements aligned with strategic objectives.
- Prioritize and manage incoming reporting requestsbalancing timesensitive needs with longterm reporting enhancements, while developing and maintaining dashboards, operational scorecards, and performance tracking tools using OUA and other analytics platforms.
- Support internal and regulatory filingsincluding rate case interrogatory data pulls, special projects, and audit cyclesby delivering timely, accurate, and fully traceable reporting outputs, while championing continuous improvement through process streamlining, automation, and reporting modernization initiatives.
- Perform responsibilities beyond reporting, including user provisioning and supporting efforts to reduce singlepoint dependencies within the team.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of reporting/analytics experience Minimum of 5 years supervisory or team lead experience or
- Associate's Degree and 5+ years of reporting/analytics experience Minimum of 5 years supervisory or team lead experience
Relevant Work Experience
- Related work experience must include experience in at least two of the following business areas: General Accounting, Finance, IT, Customer Operations, Regulatory/Compliance, Engineering or a related organization, User Provisioning and Role Based Access, Customer Operations, Support Operations, Information Technology or a related organization, required.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization, required.
- Strong experience with project management, CC&B data, reporting workflows, and ad hoc data extraction, required.
- Experience collaborating with or supporting external auditors (e.g., PwC), including preparing requested data, reconciling data sources, and validating reporting logic, required.
- Ability to work effectively across all company departments, multiple levels of management, and third-party vendors, with experience in utility operations, customer operations, regulatory reporting, or similar industries, required.
- Proficient with reporting and analytics tools (e.g., OUA, Oracle BI, Power BI, or similar), with strong analytical skills and experience auditing and analyzing data from platforms such as OUA, Power BI Publisher, and SQL Developer, required.
- Demonstrated experience in technical writing, including the development of procedures and system or process specifications, with strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly present complex information to diverse audiences, required.
- Prior experience improving reporting processes, automating manual workflows, and implementing scalable reporting solutions & Knowledge of OUA, Oracle Utilities systems, or other enterprise utility platforms, preferred.
- Experience preparing audit documentation and supporting SOX, operational, or external audit requests. required.
