Responsibilities
This senior leadership position reports to Keysight's Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer and is responsible for the company's external financial reporting, including US GAAP reporting, SEC filings, and regulatory filings for over 50 entities operating in over 30 countries. The position provides critical judgment on complex transactions and leads a globally distributed team of over 90 employees, including 5 direct reports, across 16 countries. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team responsible for US GAAP and SEC regulations regarding complex, non-standard transactions requiring significant judgment.
- Provide leadership and support to the organization in the areas of Keysight's pension, M&A and other technical accounting, accounting policies and financial consolidation.
- Act as a liaison to external audit partners.
- Lead a team responsible for preparation of all external financial statements.
- Lead a team responsible for all external financial regulatory filings.
- Manage and oversee BDO external audits for over 40 entities.
- Provide leadership and support for various tax filings, including transaction tax filings and withholding tax filings, as well as cash repatriation, accounting plans for intellectual property movement, GEO forecasting to support tax provision and entity liquidation.
- Drive continuous improvement and digital transformation across global financial reporting and compliance processes, including identifying opportunities to automate manual activities, enhance data quality and streamline close, consolidation and reporting workflows through the effective use of emerging finance technologies.
Qualifications
Skills:
- Demonstrated expertise leading, planning, monitoring and problem solving in collaboration with key partners.
- Highly effective communication skills with executive leadership and external partners.
- Ability to work cross functionally to obtain all relevant facts and influence decision making.
- Ability to proactively take ownership of projects and drive them through completion.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, evaluate and implement technology-enabled process improvements within a complex, global finance environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant, active
- 15+ years of relevant experience from a combination of public accounting and public multinational companies
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of US GAAP, SEC and IFRS regulations
- Executive presence with excellent oral and written communication skills
