Pay Grade: 10


Salary Range: $71,216 - $102,474


Salary range updated 2/26/2026. Actual compensation within the pay range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.


Location: Providence, RI



Principal Objective


To support the Managed Assets Dept. (MAD) by providing the necessary credit analysis and portfolio administration for accounts within the MAD portfolio, assist with the related due diligence activities, and contribute to MAD's overall responsibilities of monitoring and identification of risk within the Bank's negatively rated portfolio.



Principal Duties and Responsibilities


Credit Analysis




  • Credit trained or equivalent level of experience to provide appropriate credit analysis on owner occupied and non-owner occupied commercial real estate credits, as well as C&I.
  • Prepare required credit approval submissions to facilitate extensions, modifications, forbearances and problem asset reports in a timely fashion by using some or all of the following resources: spreads, financial statements, tax returns, credit bureaus, meetings with borrowers/third party professionals, appraisals, web research and other resources as necessary.
  • Ability to assess financial performance and risk including identifying ways to mitigate risk to the bank. Discuss loan structure, cash flow, collateral, and customer character with MAD RM's/Management. Highlight alternative credit structures, products where appropriat
  • Interact with Legal Counsel(s) and financial professionals including CPA's, CFO's, et as needed to assist in the ongoing management and resolution of MAD credits.
  • Present analysis in written proposals for appropriate approvals and present as directed to the appropriate approval authority.


Portfolio Management




  • Works with the MAD team to manage all reporting requirements including ongoing tracking via Baker Hill to ensure timely receipt of all financial, collateral, borrowing base, insurance, letter of credit and documentation exception/post-closing information including scanning information into Image Centre
  • Requests Appraisals/Environmental Reports under the direction of the RM
  • Enters Line of Credit advance/pay down requests in SharePoint
  • Ensures completion of CIP Form(s) including any other required Know Your Customer compliance due diligence
  • Ensures satisfactory documentation or maintenance of all insurance requirements within loan documents
  • Ensures Credit File completeness in Image Centre including saving customer financials
  • Performs monthly reviews of borrowing bases and supporting financial documentation including a loan conformity chart to ensure detection of any material changes in customer performance. Compiles and reviews documentation with RMs and updates SharePoint to ensure borrowing availabilities updated on core system. And saves all applicable information in Image Centre
  • Involved in monitoring formula followed lines of credit and respective responsibilities for these types of credits
  • Provides tracking and acts as liaison for MAD on Loan Review exceptions for financials and DLS related items
  • Interfaces with other Banks for participation loans as lead or participant to provide or gather required financial reporting or other relevant information relative to the loan/relationship


Special Projects



  • Assists with special projects as necessary and instructed by Director of Managed Assets and/or Team Leader
  • Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties.


Job Specifications (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required)



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Formal credit training is preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of PC applications, including Excel, Word and Access
  • Performs other related duties as required or directed
  • Be familiar with and fulfill compliance requirements
  • Prepare loan memorandums consistently with minimal supervision
