- Client is seeking to hire a Lead Project Support Specialist II to join our Wireless Implementation Team to manage accounts payable invoicing, vendor accounts, and continual process development and improvement.
- The role includes managing vendor relations, analyzing vendor agreements, processing invoices and change orders, monitoring completion dates of projects, tracking budgets, and documenting expenditures for related work.
- Primary objective is to maintain reliable and accurate financial reporting of financials for overall project management and budget adherence.
- To be successful as a Lead Project Support Specialist, the individual should be proficient in fundamental accounting principles, time management, and task prioritization.
- The ideal candidate will possess intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft Office applications, keen deductive reasoning, acute attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- This hybrid role reports to the Wireless Senior Manager and is based in Atlanta, GA. The selected candidate works in office as required by business requirements and directed by the senior manager.
Major Tasks:
- Accurately process invoice and change order payments within established timeframes.
- Manage accuracy and accessibility of project codes and funding within all systems - Oracle, Sitetracker and Magnit.
- Manage activation and closing of financial codes of projects and programs for appropriate setup, duration, and warranted extensions.
- Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Critical Thinking: Respond to requests from internal teams and vendors applying logical thought, industry standards, and ingenuity to determine best course of action.
- Review and monitor status of supplier contractual agreements.
- Provide reporting for completed project milestones and billing deliverables.
- Provide ongoing process improvement, maintain process documentation, and communicate process changes to internal and external customers.
- Create and manage Work Order requests and Engagements (purchase orders).
- Onboard and train new service providers/suppliers.
Qualifications Required:
- Associate of Science degree or 3 years of experience in related fields (i.e. Accounts Payable/Receivable, business management, Process Improvement, Project Management, Telecommunications).
- Proficient in critical thinking, analysis and problem-solving progressing from general ideas to specific conclusions with presented information.
- Intermediate knowledge of basic accounting principles, budgeting, and process improvement methodology.
- Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, TEAMs, and Outlook).
- Adept and concise communicator.
- Independent worker who requires minimal oversight.
Preferred:
- Experience utilizing Magnit, Oracle, Salesforce/Sitetracker, and/or similar project databases.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments with structured follow up to completion or resolution.
- Exceptional interpersonal/people skills including verbal and written communication skills, personal integrity, logical reasoning, and decision-making ability.
- Ability to modify communications appropriately to various recipients - technical, managerial, and leadership audiences.
- A team player with a high-energy, diligent work ethic, and detail oriented who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated carrier relationships (Telecommunication, Telecommunication, Sprint, Telecommunication, Other) or minimally basic knowledge of telecommunications industry and wireless services.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive data, records, files, conversations, etc.
- Innovative problem solver with the ability to think analytically, manage complex projects, and complete assignments within designated timeframes.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, Basic Accounting Acumen, Critical/Analytical Thinking.
