The Li laboratory at the Brigham and Women's Hospital (http://jonathanlilab.bwh.harvard.edu/) has an opening for a highly motivated Research Lab Technician to work under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator and will participate in translational laboratory research projects in the fields of HIV and respiratory viruses.
The position will involve data management as well as laboratory processing and testing blood and respiratory samples from clinical trial participants using a variety of highly sensitive laboratory assays. This is a great opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge HIV and respiratory virus research while working in a supportive and energetic research setting. **Applicants willing to make a 2-year commitment are preferred.** PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Oversee management of databases and sample inventories SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: 1. High degree of computer literacy LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, and/or REGISTRATIONS (if applicable): EDUCATION: BS or BA required. (In a biological/physical science highly preferred.) EXPERIENCE: Prior laboratory experience, either through academic coursework, internships, or employment 0-1+ years preferred.
