HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE...

In this role, you will strengthen the financial performance of the manufacturing facility by delivering clear, accurate, and actionable insights into plant costs. You will become a trusted partner to operations leadership-leveraging financial tools, standard costing expertise, and strong controls knowledge to drive cost transparency, influence decision-making, and identify opportunities for productivity and continuous improvement. You will help ensure the integrity of plant financials (costs, assets, and liabilities) while developing innovative strategies that enhance profitability and elevate operational excellence.

WHAT YOU WILL DO...

Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy ofstandard costs, including bills of materials, item costs, labor routings, labor rates, and overhead assignments.

  • Report cost variances in a clear and actionable format for plant supervisors and managers; explain weekly and monthly production variances and participate in corrective action planning.

  • Analyze and model the financial impact ofproduct design changes, raw materials, overhead shifts, and process changes.

  • Monitor manufacturing efficiency variances and determine corrective actions while ensuring proper classification of items and adherence to GAAP.

  • Support cost estimation, tracking, and reporting fornew product developmentandcontract manufacturing partners.

  • Assist in implementing and maintainingcost accounting methods and procedures.

  • Lead or contribute to complex projects requiring originality, strong judgment, and financial expertise.

  • May oversee project completion, review work accuracy, and evaluate outcomes; may train, guide, mentor, or support others as a technical resource and accounting subject matter expert.

  • SupportEnabler (cost savings) programsto drive YoY productivity improvements.

  • Review plant accounting and financial control procedures; ensure appropriate internal controls to safeguard assets, maintain accurate general ledger accounts, and support SOX compliance.

  • Support thePlant / Division Controllerin all aspects of plant finance.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

Scope of Responsibility

  • Operates independently with minimal supervision; responsible for determining how to accomplish assigned work.

  • May act in a lead role with limited supervisory responsibilities.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH...

You will partner closely with a wide range of stakeholders across the plant and division, including:

  • Plant operations leadership

  • Supervisors and production managers

  • Corporate and divisional finance partners

  • Plant / Division Controller

  • Cross-functional teams involved in product design, manufacturing, engineering, and planning

You will also serve as a finance resource for teams requiring guidance on cost accounting and internal controls.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE... (MUST HAVE)

  • Bachelor's degree inAccounting, Finance or related fields

  • 5+ yearsof direct finance or cost accounting experience

  • Solid working knowledge ofGAAP

  • Strong understanding ofstandard cost accountingand manufacturing processes

  • Proven success as a strategically oriented financial manager with experience in cost accounting, production planning, and operations analysis

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills; ability to seek and leverage resources

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Collaborative approach with ability to build effective relationships at all organizational levels

  • Results-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail

  • High proficiency inMicrosoft Office(Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)

  • Ability to driveprocess improvementsand prioritize independently

  • Strong organizational and business process skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently

  • Understanding of manufacturing process flows and facility capabilities

  • SAP experience preferred

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE... (NICE TO HAVE)

  • CPA or CMA certification

  • Strong proficiency in Excel

  • Experience leading or mentoring team members

  • Prior experience supporting manufacturing or plant finance environments

  • Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$84,600-$121,700

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
