Overview
The Classroom Facilitator works at the Utah State University Delta Center and supports classroom operations for Connect courses. Hours vary based on need and are scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

This position is limited to fewer than 28 hours per week, and the schedule may change each semester. The Classroom Facilitator reports to the USU Delta Center Coordinator. This is an ACA variable-hour position.

Responsibilities
The Classroom Facilitator serves a variety of functions in the classroom setting. Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting students and instructors with operating classroom technology is essential for the delivery of Connect courses
  • Communicating effectively in-person, by phone, via IVC equipment, through electronic communication tools, and in writing
  • Distributing and collecting classroom materials
  • Proctoring exams and quizzes
  • Maintaining a quiet, professional learning environment
  • Keeping accurate class rosters and maintaining classroom material tracking records
  • Serving as a liaison between students, university instructors, and university administrators
  • Performing other duties as assigned


Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least one year of proven work history
  • Customer service experience
  • Reliable access to transportation to and from work sites
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information
  • Proficiency with computers, email, and Microsoft Office products, with willingness to learn additional basic technology skills
  • Strong professionalism, dependability, punctuality, and integrity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a higher education setting
  • Understanding of the student-instructor relationship
  • Basic technical experience
