Senior Manager, Logistics

Building on our past. Ready for the future.
Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We're bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.

Play an integral role in shaping and delivering world-class logistics strategies on complex, capital-intensive programs. As Senior Manager, Logistics, you lead high-performing teams and align logistics execution with broader organizational objectives across major EPC projects.

You step into a leadership role that influences outcomes across mega-project environments-where scale, risk, and stakeholder complexity demand clarity of thought, disciplined execution, and collaborative leadership.

The Senior Manager, Logistics drives the strategic and operational direction of logistics across major projects, including Power and LNG developments. You ensure that logistics planning, execution, systems, and teams are aligned with project milestones, commercial commitments, and corporate objectives. You operate with a time horizon of up to one year, translating enterprise-level strategy into practical, field-ready execution plans.

Purpose of the Role

You will be responsible for developing and leading integrated logistics strategies that support large-scale EPC delivery. This includes oversight of transportation, heavy haul, port operations, materials management interfaces, customs compliance, and site logistics for mega-projects.

You establish policy frameworks, influence program direction, and ensure logistics execution supports safety, cost, schedule, and quality outcomes. You lead beyond functional boundaries-partnering with project management, procurement, construction, and commercial teams to ensure seamless delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead logistics strategy and execution across large, complex EPC projects, including Power and LNG mega-projects.
  • Develop tactical implementation plans that align with organizational goals and project milestones.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of new logistics concepts, systems, and process improvements.
  • Manage and direct logistics teams directly or through subordinate leaders, establishing performance standards and accountability structures.
  • Make decisions regarding staffing, development, performance management, and succession planning within the logistics function.
  • Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and transportation standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex logistical challenges, balancing cost, risk, schedule, and stakeholder impact.
  • Influence cross-functional teams to drive alignment between logistics planning and overall project execution strategy.
  • Present complex logistics proposals, risk assessments, and performance reports to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Provide participative leadership that fosters collaboration, transparency, and a solutions-focused culture.
  • Contribute to the advancement of logistics systems, tools, and digital processes to enhance predictability and performance.

What you'll bring to the role

You bring deep, practical expertise developed over 15+ years of progressive logistics leadership experience, including supervisory and project management accountability within large-scale EPC environments.

You demonstrate:

  • Proven mega-project experience with significant EPC exposure, particularly within Power and LNG sectors.
  • A university degree in a related discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Broad functional knowledge of global logistics operations, heavy lift, multimodal transport, customs compliance, and site logistics planning.
  • The ability to interpret high-level business strategy and convert it into actionable, field-level execution plans.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to develop tactical solutions within broad organizational policies.
  • Experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams and leading through other leaders.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including cost control, contract understanding, and risk mitigation.
  • Executive-level communication capability, with confidence presenting complex data and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • A collaborative, participative leadership style that promotes accountability while encouraging diverse perspectives.
  • Advanced understanding of logistics systems, processes, and digital tools, with the ability to guide improvements and mentor others.

You operate with independence, exercising sound judgment within established policies while influencing the direction of major programs. You are pragmatic, strategic, and execution-focused.
