About the Role As an Intake Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring patients receive essential medical equipment and services efficiently and accurately. You'll collaborate with referral sources, physician offices, verification teams, and regional branches across Wisconsin, Indiana, Missouri, and Illinois to keep the intake process running smoothly. This role is perfect for someone who excels in fastpaced healthcare settings, enjoys problemsolving, and has strong experience with insurance processes and EMR systems. What You'll Do * Enter incoming referrals accurately and within established timeframes * Communicate with referral sources and physician offices to obtain necessary documentation * Review clinical records to ensure compliance with payer guidelines * Work closely with branch leadership to coordinate appropriate services and inventory * Contact patients regarding financial responsibility (non-Medicaid) and document payments * Navigate multiple EMR systems to gather required clinical documentation * Partner with the sales and verification teams to streamline the referral process * Provide excellent customer service via phone and electronic communication * Utilize company procedures to determine proper shipping methods for equipment * Assist with other regional intake or administrative tasks as needed Top Skills & Experience Required: * 1+ year experience in insurance verification or eligibility (deductibles, copays, benefits) * 1+ year experience reviewing medical records * 1+ year experience with EMR systems (Epic preferred) * Strong communication and customer service skills * Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities * Proficiency with Microsoft Office * High attention to detail and analytical thinking * High School Diploma Big Plus: * DME experience, especially CPAP-related * Experience in Medicarecertified HME, Home Health, or IV billing environments Work Environment * Onsite at: Elmhurst, IL 60126 * Dedicated workstation, headset, and monitor provided * Schedule options: * 8:30am-5:00pm * 9:00am-6:00pm * Hybrid eligibility after converting to permanent employment (typically after 6 months) Why You'll Love Working Here * Supportive, team-oriented environment * Leadership that listens and values feedback * Mission-driven organization focused on empowering lives * Growth potential after contract period * Great culture-past placements consistently give glowing feedback Ready to Make an Impact?
