Senior Digital Product Manager - Portal Experience Platform

Who You Are:

• You have a high school diploma (required) and a bachelor's degree (or equivalent industry experience), along with 10-15 years of relevant work and at least 3 years in a highly regulated industry or specialized domain.
• Thrive as a digital product management expert, especially in customerfacing web and portal experiences.
• Demonstrate deep proficiency in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and modern authentication standards such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
• Have handson experience with leading authentication and login platforms, including Okta, Azure AD, Ping, and Auth0.
• Confidently design and optimize rolebased, tiered, and delegated access models that scale.
• Bring awareness of MFA, adaptive authentication, and broader security/compliance considerations.
• Excel with Agile practices, using work management tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira; certifications like Scrum Product Owner or Scrum Master are a plus.
• Lead with influence: providing strategic direction, mentoring with intention, and guiding partners at all levels through skilled negotiation, consensusbuilding, and crossfunctional facilitation.
• Excel at transforming ambiguity into clarity using advanced analytical, problemsolving, and criticalthinking skills-while building trust, fostering collaboration, and making sound decisions in complex environments.
• Some minimal annual travel required (for people manager roles only)

  All newly hired people leaders with direct reports are required to complete a comprehensive leadership development program within their first year. This program includes both virtual and in-person training. The in-person sessions will take place at Symetra's corporate headquarters in Bellevue, Washington. Symetra covers all travel and accommodation expenses.
