JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Provides overall program oversight to ensure effective service delivery and positive participant outcomes. Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising program staff, while providing ongoing coaching, support, and hands-on guidance. Monitors program performance through regular audits, reviews outcomes, and implements quality improvement initiatives as needed. Serves as a liaison with internal departments and external partner agencies to support coordinated care and program success.

The Team Leader oversees the coordination and delivery of services for individuals participating in the Recovery Court program. This role acts as a key liaison between the behavioral health provider and the Recovery Court team, helping ensure participants receive comprehensive, evidence-based treatment and recovery support for substance use and co-occurring disorders.

In this role, the Team Leader supervises staff, coordinates treatment planning, and monitors participant progress while ensuring compliance with court requirements, grant expectations, and organizational policies. The position works collaboratively with judges, attorneys, probation officers, and community partners to promote participant engagement, accountability, and long-term recovery outcomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hires, trains, and evaluates staff. Develops expectations for team.
• Attends monthly meetings to enhance integrated services.
• May conduct weekly group supervision.
• Provides individual supervision for direct reports. Supervision includes some office-based sessions, as well working side-by-side with specialists. Provides frequent (weekly or every other week) field mentoring for new hires.
• Collects client outcomes on a monthly basis. Shares outcomes for the program with the team each quarter. Helps team members set goals for improvement. Reviews individual outcomes with each practitioner and develops written plans for improvement. Helps specialists refine their skills so they can improve outcomes.
• Arranges for fidelity reviews. Assists with the development of fidelity action plans based on recommendations from the fidelity report.
• Maintain necessary communications and reporting with referral sources and other involved parties as approved by client.
• Maintain timely/accurate clinical records in accordance with organization policies.
• Maintain effective relationships with Community.
• May Participate in the development and implementation of quality clinical practices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level

• Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or health related field required.
• Master's degree is preferred.

Years of Experience

• One year of relevant experience is required.
• Experience working in a behavioral health care environment with adults with mental illness is highly desirable.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
