Position Overview

As a Service Technician in within the Propane team, you'll play a vital role in keeping outdoor spaces cozy and inviting! Your responsibilities include servicing, maintaining, inspecting, and expertly repairing a variety of patio heaters, both on and off-site.

Essential Functions

  • Able to read and understand basic manufacturing practices and schematic diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot machines in a timely manner where safety, quality, and customer service are the priority
  • Diagnose installation errors and equipment malfunctions and make necessary repairs on patio heaters
  • Maintain accurate records of service work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job
  • Load and unload of cylinders for customers and delivery drivers
  • Inspect propane cylinders to ensure they are in date and meet safety requirements, including visual and physical tests as needed
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting various equipment. Also, provide information to customers to enhance the efficiency of our product in their facility
  • Determine the proper course of action when an improperly installed, damaged, or defective system or equipment is identified
  • Assist in the yard by pumping propane and loading it when needed. Must be proficient in operating all pumps and equipment on delivery trucks
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both employees and customers
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar role
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record required, and the ability to obtain a hazmat endorsement
  • Professional and clean appearance in adherence to company policies
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Ability to read and interpret written, oral, or diagram documents, such as safety rules, delivery tickets, work orders, procedure manuals, use of electronic technical equipment, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and computer literate
  • Ability to make good decisions in an unsupervised work environment, and time management

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and stand on his or her feet for long periods of time. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50-100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt, and on-site position. Days and hours of work vary based on shift. Some overtime may be required, but not guaranteed. May be required to work occasional overnight or weekends, as needed.

The compensation range reflects WestAir's good-faith estimate for the base compensation expected at the time of posting. Compensation offered will be determined by the job-related factors, including skills, experience, qualifications, education, and geographic location.
