The Gas Operations, Storage, Compression and Gas Measurement Controls Manager leads storage operations, pipeline tapping and stopping, gas compression, and gas measurement and controls across Ohio and compression in North Carolina, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of company assets through strong strategic and operational leadership. The role manages resources to ensure effective planning, cost discipline, regulatory compliance, and successful project delivery, while fostering safety, collaboration, and inclusion.

What You Will Do
  • Develop and implement strategies and continuous improvement plans to effectively manage internal teams and contracted resources in support of operational objectives.

  • Provide clear direction, coaching, and support to operations supervisors, while monitoring contractor performance to ensure safety, quality, and accountability.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal, and tariff requirements, including DOT pipeline safety regulations, EPA, OSHA, NFPA, and relevant state and local standards.

  • Lead and support technical training, development, and knowledge sharing to strengthen employee capability, engagement, and succession readiness.

  • Build and sustain effective union-management relationships by administering local union agreements and partnering with Human Resources to address employee and labor relations matters fairly and consistently.

  • Participate in and monitor regulatory and code development processes at the state and federal level, providing input that supports operational excellence and compliance readiness.

  • Assess pipeline safety risks and their operational impacts, working closely with state inspection representatives and maintaining required operating procedures, emergency manuals, and work practices.

  • Monitor operational compliance, support audits, and contribute to corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Provide operational insight and leadership input into asset replacement strategies, asset improvements, investigations, capital portfolio planning, and project management activities.

  • Lead teams responsible for Transmission, Storage, Distribution, and Gathering Compression stations to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations.

  • Lead teams accountable for onsystem gas storage operations in Ohio, ensuring alignment with integrity management and supply plans.

  • Oversee Gas Operations activities including pigging, tapping and stopping, crosscompression, valve maintenance, and emergency response work, ensuring readiness and operational resilience.

  • Lead electronic measurement and control activities, including gas chromatography, to ensure accurate measurement, data integrity, and customer billing in compliance with applicable standards.

Who You Are
  • Related university degree and 8+ years' experience OR 10+ years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience may be considered.

  • Experience in compression operations, tapping and stopping, pigging, and storage operations is preferred.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Stellar Project management and planning capabilities

  • Time management, organization, budgeting, and financial awareness

  • Knowledge of union agreements, construction methods, and operational work practices

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to travel regularly within Ohio and North Carolina (approximately 26-50%).

  • Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record is required.

  • This is a safetysensitive position. Successful candidate will be required to complete a drug test as part of the preemployment background screening process.
