Enbridge has a Sr Project Controls Advisor position that is responsible for performing project cost and schedule management and in-depth analysis of projects to inform of current situations/progress and enable proactive communication to mitigate risks and exploit opportunities.

Here's what you will do:

  • Provide full Project Control Management, consisting of cost/schedule development and control during the full lifecycle of projects.

  • Generate regular and ad hoc analysis including graphs, summary tables, and presentations.

  • Regularly present analysis to Leadership.

  • Assist the Project Engineer/Manager in Project Scope Management by providing insight into scope definition, verification, change control and financial health of projects.

  • Work with internal team to understand incurred field costs and Stakeholders for indirect costs and compare against budget and monthly forecast values.

  • Work with Field Contractors to set up, receive, and attest Digital LEMs in EcoSys.

  • Prepare expenditure profiles, work force histograms, comparative capital cost estimates for projects and total program monthly forecast summaries.

  • Provide estimating support to other departments' cost management for internal cost controls.

  • Track Key Performance Indicators and work with groups to improve overall execution of projects.

  • Develop templates, examples, and policies & procedures to assist the project managers to implement Gating Controls Process.

  • Prepare project status with variance analysis and reasoning for Senior and Project Management.

Who you are:
You have the following education and experience:

  • University Degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering or Finance/Accounting related fields. Other post-secondary education may be considered.

  • Minimum of 7 years of Project Controls or Project Management experience is required.

  • General understanding of pipeline operations.

  • Extremely high proficiency in MS Excel required (v-lookups, pivot tables, graph generation, sumifs, etc.).

  • An ability to distill large sets of data into easily understandable analysis.

  • A working understanding of PowerBI and Power Pivot.

  • Software experience with MS Office Suite and Oracle/SAP.

  • Predict obstacles, challenges, and risks to proactively determine mitigation strategies and innovative solutions to problems.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Problem solving, decision-making, organization, planning and leadership skills.

  • Collaborative, team- and service-oriented work style.

  • Motivated self-starter who works well independently in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Project Management Professional designation preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.

  • Overnight business or construction field trips may be required.

  • Expectation to produce required reports and cost data in a timely manner.

  • Occasional travel to field worksite locations. May require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Physical Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 25 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Mental Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Salary:

Ranges from $96,200 - $140,000 USD for US locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
