The Highlights:
This role is responsible for setting and executing DePaul's vision for a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the arts, inclusive of The Theatre School and the School of Music. This position leads major and principal gift efforts, working closely with university leadership, faculty, and external stakeholders to grow philanthropic support in alignment with institutional priorities. The Director serves as the primary development liaison for the arts and plays a key role in DePaul's comprehensive campaign. Additionally, this position leads Advancement POD meetings for the School of Music and The Theatre School, fostering collaboration across advancement teams to drive strategy and donor engagement.

What You'll Do:


  • Directs the identification, qualification, solicitation, and stewardship of major gifts prospects/donors of the The Theatre School and The School of Music, as well as other philanthropic initiatives of the University. Ensures that, over time, these areas have enough qualified major gift prospects to achieve established goals.
  • In partnership with academic leadership, develops annual and long-range major gift solicitation plans based on specific process targets and financial goals. Briefs and staffs the faculty leadership on relevant development initiatives as necessary.
  • Advises and assists with events and initiatives at the request of the Dean/faculty leadership and/or the Executive Director of Development for Schools and Colleges. Participates, to a reasonable extent, in university-wide activities and initiatives, task forces, and committees. Maintains a commitment to ongoing professional development and education.



What You'll Need:
* Bachelors degree required or equivalent work experience required;
* 3+ years major gifts fundraising experience required, preferably in higher education and/or the arts.



  • Masters degree and familiarity with the arts, preferred


The anticipated hiring range for this position is: $74,367 to $100,000.
The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
