Salary Grade: T24

Pay Range: $23-$25/hour

Position Summary
The Sr. Administrative Specialist assists with the day-to-day administrative functions of the Central Animal Facility. Primary responsibilities will be to process monthly per diem animal ordering, veterinary and husbandry recharges; upload all charges and insure charges have been billed appropriately; reconcile monthly budget reports and handle all processes with vendor invoices; follow up with vendors and Accounts Payable for inquiries regarding past due invoices; process animal procurement requests submitted through Cayuse system, and provide follow-up activities; and print and distribute cage cards for incoming animals along with delivery schedules.
In addition, the Sr. Administrative Specialist will work with the IACUC/Occupational Health office to assure ULAR completion of requirements, assure orientation completion, cancellations for access are processed, and issues regarding access are resolved in a timely and effective manner. Other responsibilities will be to receive and file all paperwork, receiving documents, and invoices; maintain departmental files; ULAR Orientation- and ATP Trainings (e.g. scheduling, securing room, preparing training materials);assist in the overall administrative and clerical duties for assigned projects; and maintain detailed reports and spreadsheets to ensure paperwork is tracked properly. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
At least 3 years' experience in an office setting. Experience in handling administrative office functions.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities
-Outstanding customer service skills and ability to problem solve in a professional office environment.
-The ability to mentor and monitor the work of student staff.
-Proven organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail.
-Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
