From your PASSION to ours

Lactalis U.S Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Maintenance Planner based in Londonderry, NH.

The Maintenance Planner will enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime by developing, scheduling, and coordinating proactive maintenance activities. Serving as the link between production, scheduling, and maintenance teams, this role will focus on job scoping, parts kitting, and effective resource allocation to improve overall operational efficiency. Key responsibilities will include reviewing and prioritizing work orders, managing parts inventory, and leveraging the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to control costs and support data-driven maintenance strategies. The Maintenance Planner will support maintenance planning for the Packaging, Processing, and Utility departments. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Ensure full compliance with all food safety and quality expectations as defined in plant and departmental procedures.
  • Participate in daily and weekly scheduling meetings to represent maintenance priorities and coordinate upcoming work.
  • Analyze production and operations schedules to identify optimal windows for planned maintenance with minimal disruption to plant activities.
  • Develop and publish weekly maintenance job assignments-including preventive and corrective tasks-and hold maintenance supervisors accountable for execution.
  • Review and validate all work orders for clarity, accuracy, and completeness, ensuring related tasks are properly grouped for maximum efficiency.
  • Determine the ideal frequency of preventive maintenance by reviewing OEM manuals, equipment usage patterns, and historical maintenance data.
  • Manage, prioritize, and maintain the maintenance backlog to maximize productivity and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Ensure all preventive maintenance tasks include required measurement points and drive the creation of new PMs as needed.
  • Plan, coordinate, and communicate details for maintenance projects of all sizes, including major overhauls and plant shutdowns, while estimating required labor, parts, and materials.
  • Support parts ordering, kitting, documentation of completed work, employee training needs, and distribution of department KPIs.
Requirements

Education

  • A high school diploma is required.

Experience

  • 2+ years of Manufacturing experience is required.
  • Ability to oversee the correct use and application of equipment and material to ensure the highest possible efficiency. Ability to maintain equipment by doing routine calibrations and conducting proper troubleshooting of faulty equipment (preventive and curative maintenance).
  • Provide a holistic and systematic perspective on strategic issues and leverage them to articulate and give a clear vision of the future.
  • In-depth understanding of equipment and material, to cover performance and capacity, cleaning and maintenance.

Certifications and specific knowledge

  • Knowledge of equipment reliability is required.
  • Knowledge of resource management is required
  • Knowledge of Production scheduling is required
