Job Description

Experience Preferred, We will train the right person. 1st shift position available. 4-day workweek (Monday thru Thursday, 5:30am-4:00pm). Recent base wage increase is ultra-competitive



Summary


Production team members will be assigned to work on the Mattress and/or Hybrid lines under the direction of the shift supervisor. Production team members are expected to work in a manner which promotes safety, quality, and efficiency to meet production goals.



Role and Responsibilities



  1. Follow ALL Safe work practices, LOTO, PPE, JHA's, etc.
  2. Meet all quality standards and customer requirements.
  3. Ability to operate machinery.
  4. Skill and ability to meet or exceed the production standards.
  5. Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  6. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  7. Ability to operate plant scanners and computers to print or scan tickets, conduct inventory, and perform all job-specific SAP functions.
  8. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  9. Participate in Root Cause Analysis exercise for Safety, Reliability, Cost, and Quality.
  10. Maintain an orderly, safe, and clean work area.
  11. Use of hand tools, measuring devices, shop equipment.
  12. Work well with other employees
  13. Actively participate in FXI Safety Program. Follow appropriate Safe Work Practices, safety glasses or goggles, hazard communications, forklift certification, gloves.
  14. All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.


Qualifications and Education Requirements



  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  3. Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
