Job Scope

TheLogistics Coordinator IIperforms activities related to the receipt, put-away, storage, picking, movement, and shipping of material within the Supply Chain. This role must have high regard for attention to detail, decision making, leadership, and be able to oversee the adherence to OSHA, DOT, IATA, FDA, and other regulations. Ensure that all applicable duties are conducted and performed according to approved procedures IAW ISO 9001 which may include but not limited to RMA processing, receipts, order distribution, MMDs, shipping transactions, MRB coordination, material packaging, and NCMRs.

Duties & Responsibilities




  • Process receiving/stockroom/shipping transactions quickly, accurately, and completely in the Oracle ERP system.
  • Create / maintain detailed reporting on all applicable functions as required.
  • Interacts with various internal and external groups to facilitate the completion of the all activities.
  • Maintain product integrity throughout the movement cycle of materials by handling sensitive products appropriately.
  • Prepare appropriate receiving, stockroom, and shipping documentation in compliance with all domestic and international regulations (IATA, hazmat, customs, etc.).
  • Quality focused. Check orders for quantity accuracy, record and check serial numbers and lot numbers, obtain secondary verifications as required. Perform incoming and outgoing inspections as needed.
  • Serves as an inventory accuracy lead; ensures that cycle counts are completed timely and precisely. Researches and mitigates inventory issues as needed.
  • Proactively order and restock supplies for use during day to day functions (boxes, foam, dry ice, cold packs, bags, labels- etc.) to ensure continuous operational readiness.
  • Ability to drive company vehicles and operate Luminex equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and motorized pallet stackers to receive/store/distribute/ship material.
  • Keeps accurate records and maintain appropriate filing system.
  • A workplace professional who demonstrates excellent safety practices and behavioral poise.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment. Keep areas 5S compliant.
  • Works with 3PL providers to ensure material is stored, issued, and shipped timely and accurately.
  • Ability to investigate various receiving, stockroom, and/or shipping related issues and provide status updates to customers and stakeholders.
  • May develop cross-training plans and serve as a departmental training coordinator ensuring that all training is completed per SOP.
  • Process improvement advocate that drives efficiency by updating and drafting SOPs / work instructions as needed.



Education, Experience and Qualifications




  • H.S. Diploma
  • Associate's Degree Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Science, or equivalent preferred
  • 2+ Years Experience in domestic and international receiving, warehouse, logistics or shipping required
  • 2+ Years Experience in receiving, packaging, handling, and shipping of sensitive material, especially cold chain products preferred
  • 2+ Years Experience using forklifts and/or other material handling equipment preferred
  • 2+ Years Experience in a Medical Device, Pharma, or other Healthcare field preferred
  • 2+ Years Experience using an ERP system in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • 2+ Years Experience with oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) preferred
  • 2+ Years Experience in a GMP and/or FDA regulated environment preferred
  • 2+ Years Experience in using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (High proficiency)
  • Ability to handle the pressure of meeting tight deadlines (High proficiency)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (High proficiency)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. (High proficiency)
  • Highly organized with proven time management and prioritization skills (High proficiency)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (High proficiency)
  • Ability to make a customer impact decision when challenged with multiple priorities. (High proficiency)
  • Ability to recognize a product integrity handling issue and take action to stabilize material. (High proficiency)
  • Ability to recognize potential issues and escalate to management. (compliance, DG, safety, hazardous material handling, etc.) (High proficiency)
  • Advanced knowledge of rules and regulations to include DOT, OSHA, IATA, and FDA. (High proficiency)
  • Driver's License (Site specific, notice will be given if not required). required
  • Logistics/Trade Compliance or Hazardous Handling/Shipping certifications. preferred
  • Forklift certification, or ability to obtain certification (Site specific, notice will be given if not required) preferred
