Suburban Hospital is a 228-bed, Level II Trauma Center, and a community-based hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. Suburban Hospital is a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine and has served Montgomery County and the surrounding area for more than 65 years. The designated trauma center for Montgomery County, Suburban Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission and has earned ANCC Magnet Recognition for nursing excellence.

What you will do:

The Shift Supervisor serves as a primary coordinator for managing daily patient throughput, ensuring the effective and efficient care of patients. The primary goals of this position are to improve hospital throughput of ED admits, Direct Admits, Surgical Admits, increase inpatient bed utilization and reduce patient or bed turnaround delays. Provides overall direction for and coordination of throughput throughout the assigned shift. Communicates continuously through the shift to ensure all hospital units and departments align with the plan and goal of timely patient movement.

Qualifications needed:

• Five (5) years or more experience as a staff nurse with progressive leadership responsibility
• Must have a current Maryland RN licensure and CPR certification
• Associates of Nursing required, Bachelors Degree strongly preferred

Salary Range: Minimum 74.80/hour - Maximum 74.80/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
