JOB DESCRIPTION

This position in the Occupational Therapy Department will assist faculty by performing various technology job duties within the classroom to support the successful delivery of assigned courses.

JOB DUTIES

Duties included, but not limited to:

Accessibility assistant to run the Canvas course UDOIT tool to remedy errors.
Power on and off room equipment. Ensure there are charged batteries for the microphones and all classroom equipment is functional.
Assisting with Zoom connections and course material transmission to/from coordinate campuses.
Monitoring classroom technology for issues that might require attention, repair or adjustments by OT/CoP Technologists.
General classroom technology support to facilitate the start of the lecture.

The Employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.

  • Strong people skills--must enjoy working with students, faculty, staff and the public.
  • Experience with a variety of technology devices.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.

About the Department

The University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy is nationally recognized for excellence in preparing pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists, occupational therapists, and medical laboratory scientists to tackle society's toughest problems in Minnesota and across the globe. The College of Pharmacy offers degrees in the programs of pharmacy (PharmD, MS, PhD), occupational therapy (OTD), and medical laboratory sciences (BS, Certificate, MMLS, MS-BLS).

The pharmacy program is offered on the Twin Cities and Duluth campuses. The occupational therapy program is offered on the Twin Cities and Rochester campuses. The medical laboratory sciences program is offered on the Twin Cities campus. Interactive technology is used to keep all campuses connected.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $15.75-$16/hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
