Job Summary

You will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing engineering and design activities for the Americas DEPS team. This role ensures high-quality execution of mechanical and civil design work, effective resource planning, and the management of digital engineering assets, while maintaining alignment with project schedules and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership & Project Oversight

  • Supervise, plan, develop, coordinate, and review engineering work related to mechanical and civil design for assigned projects.

  • Ensure all engineering deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful project execution.

  • Manage the design and drafting workload within the mechanical group.

  • Establish, implement, and enforce standards and best practices for mechanical design.

  • Oversee deliverables including mechanical equipment layouts, general arrangements, piping isometrics, pneumatic conveying lines, and material handling systems.

Resource Planning & Coordination

  • Estimate staffing requirements and develop project schedules.

  • Assign and prioritize work to meet critical deadlines.

  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, plant personnel, and the Associate Director of DEPS to align resources with project needs.

Digital Asset Management

  • Manage and coordinate digital assets for the Americas DEPS team.

  • Oversee systems including Building Information Modeling (BIM), Cadworx models, CAD files, and server infrastructure.

  • Act as a liaison with IT to resolve system-related issues and ensure optimal performance of engineering tools.

Team Supervision & Technical Guidance

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and technical direction to Designers, Drafters, and Engineers.

  • Support team development through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Engineering Review & Approval

  • Review and approve key engineering drawings and documentation, including both design and field documents.

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards.

Standards Development & Maintenance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain drafting standards for Global Engineering within the Americas region.

  • Promote consistency and best practices across all engineering deliverables.

Qualifications

  • You have a minimum of 3 years managing engineering teams

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or related field).

  • Relevant experience in engineering design, supervision, or project coordination.

  • Proficiency with BIM, CAD systems, and engineering design software.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $107,500.00 and $157,663.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
