Description
A Brief Overview The Compliance Analyst executes riskbased work programs with emphasis on highrisk maintenance/EHS work orders (EHS, emergency, urgent, NDAA), PM timeliness/attachments, amenities/safety inspections, ADA/accommodations tracking, highrisk lease addenda, and damage fee defensibility.
What you will do
- Performs recurring reviews of EHS/emergency/urgent/general work orders for escalation handling, timeliness, categorization, documentation (including "same issue within 5 days," sub15minute completions, and response times), and summarizes exceptions with rootcause hypotheses.
- Monitors NDAArelated work orders and satisfaction triggers; confirms reopen/corrective steps and resident outreach within required timeframes.
- Reviews PM completion and file attachments; targets locations with noncompliance history; validates amenities/safety inspections by schedule.
- Validates ADA tracker documentation and routing upon golive; assesses timeliness and reports trends to Business Sponsors.
- For highrisk lease addenda locations, verifies signed addenda at lease execution and follow through to upload/closure; prepares locationlevel visuals and summaries.
- Evaluates damage fee assessments: verifies existence of damage, depreciation application, and tieout to completed repairs with workorder evidence; proposes corrective actions.
- Supports maintenance operations best practices (SOPs, QA/QC, site visits) and readiness for partner reviews.
- Documents corrective actions with owners and deadlines; tracks CAPAs to closure and escalate repeated noncompliance.
- Develop and implement regular reviews, reports and testing of IA accounts and platforms
- Provide regular reporting to Financial Professionals and Supervision, including follow-up and guidance
- Support the existing IA compliance program operating in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams
- Assist with developing the annual Testing Plan and Risk Assessment
- Assist the other members of the department with incoming field inquiries from the Compliance Hotline and mailboxes relating to Surveillance and Testing
- Participate in ad-hoc requests, special projects, and regulatory exams
- Assist Compliance Officer with training & developing Compliance Analysts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 4-6 years in multifamily or military housing maintenance operations, EHS, lease compliance, or internal audit Required
- 1-3 years experience with rootcause analysis and corrective action followthrough Required
- 1-3 years Yardi proficiency Preferred
- PM/CMMS familiarity Preferred
- Maintenance acumen; analytical mindset; detail and evidence rigor; collaborative followthrough.
- Clear, concise issue writing and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong documentation/evidence skills and comfort reviewing field/inspection materials.
