The New York City Department of Transportation, Roadway Repair and Maintenance Division, Technical Services, Innovation & Quality Assurance Unit is seeking to recruit a Summer Intern for this summer to assist in our work and will provide them with a unique learning experience. Under continuing guidance and supervision, the student will be trained in and assist in the performance of professional work in one or more fields of Roadway Repair & Maintenance and all related work. Minimum Qualifications For Assignment Level I: Preferred Skills
Enrolled in a college program in a relevant field (e.g., Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Surveying, Construction Estimation, Construction Sustainability, Materials Science). Strong attention to detail and commitment to following established protocols. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain an orderly electronic filing system for work performed. Effective communication skills to interact professionally with colleagues. Eagerness to learn and contribute to the flexibility to handle various tasks and respond to unexpected situations. Willing to work both the office and the field, meaning we travel anywhere within all five boroughs to project sites. Public Service Loan Forgiveness

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment.
