Summary: Provides assistance to the Principal Investigator and Study Team in coordinating research activities that may include conducting a variety of routine experiments with established methodologies, data collection and management, and other research activities as assigned.
Lab Summary: The Digital Neuropsychology Lab at Brigham and Women's Hospital is looking for a highly motivated Research Assistant to join the team. This role will help with the development and validation of the Boston Remote Assessment of Neurocognitive Health (BRANCH), along with other digital assessments of memory and cognition. The person who fills this role will work directly with study participants, both through recruitment and data collection. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in clinical psychology, neuropsychology, or neuroscience.

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for data collection, management, manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Study cohort management.
- Outreach communication with subjects, conducting mailings, follow-up on mailings, and obtaining necessary documents.
- Provides assistance on work related to epidemiological studies and other population-based research.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree Science required

BS degree in psychology, neuroscience, pre-med, or other related field preferred.

Experience:
New grad with some relevant coursework 0-1 year preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Careful attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.
- Computer literacy, including database tools.
- Ability to follow directions and exhibit professionalism.

Role-specific duties preferred:

- Recruit participants from community based sources and existing internal cohorts.

- Conduct a brief neuropsychological battery with study participants.

- Assist participants with the technological requirements to setup the tasks on their device.

- Work directly with other teams across the Center for Alzheimer Research and Treatment and Harvard Aging Brain Study+ to align data captured through other cohort studies.

- Assist with data analyses, manuscript and grant preparation.

Role-specific requirements/qualifications preferred:

- Experience in clinical research and/or administering cognitive testing is a plus.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Must be able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including participants, colleagues, clinicians, and study investigators.

- Highly motivated, able to show initiative in his/her/their work.

- Ability to work independently (hybrid role) with minimal supervision.

- High level of organization and attention to detail.

- Well-developed computer skills.

- Comfort and/or experience working with older adults is a plus
