Job Summary The Safety Coordinator is responsible for implementing and managing safety programs to minimize occupational hazards and ensure compliance with applicable regulations within construction environments, including large-scale data center projects. This role conducts site inspections, leads safety trainings, investigates incidents, and collaborates with operations and project teams to promote a proactive safety culture. The Safety Coordinator applies strong knowledge of construction safety practices, interprets safety data, and drives continuous improvement in risk management and compliance. Job Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate workplace conditions that could lead to accidents or financial loss
- Assess potential severity of injuries and associated risks from identified hazards
- Develop and implement accident prevention and loss control programs aligned with operational policies
- Coordinate safety initiatives to ensure consistent implementation across assigned projects or business units
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
- Compile, analyze, and interpret safety data related to incidents, injuries, and compliance trends
- Prepare and communicate safety reports to relevant stakeholders
- Lead and facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and occupational injuries to determine root causes and corrective actions
- Enforce safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements on job sites
- Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and client safety teams to maintain compliance
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, logs, and compliance records
- Support emergency response planning, drills, and procedures
- Promote a positive and proactive safety culture among field personnel
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role within construction or related environments
- Strong knowledge of construction safety practices, including low voltage, electrical, or data center environments
- Working knowledge of applicable safety regulations and standards, including OSHA guidelines
- Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Ability to lead training sessions, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with field teams and leadership
- Proficiency in documenting safety findings, reports, and corrective actions
- Familiarity with safety management software, digital inspection tools, and incident tracking systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting and documentation
- Basic ability to read and interpret construction plans (preferred)
- Certifications such as OSHA 500 or 510, First Aid/CPR, or similar credentials (preferred)
- Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) (preferred)
- Ability to stand and walk job sites for extended periods
Work Experience
- Experience supporting large-scale commercial construction projects, preferably in data center environments
- Demonstrated experience in enforcing safety standards and promoting compliance on active job sites

Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)
- Schedule is Monday through Friday with a start time of 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM
- Overtime may be required based on project demands
- Work is performed on active construction job sites, including data center new construction environments
- Required personal protective equipment includes composite toe boots
