Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000

The Business Development Manager is accountable for attracting, developing, and retaining client relationships while identifying opportunities for new account and deposit growth-both internally and externally-for Apple Bank. This role collaborates with senior business relationship professionals, branch personnel, and other revenue-generating departments within the organization, including the Equipment Finance Team, to expand our commercial portfolio. We are looking for a results oriented and team focused professional with a demonstrated track record in deposit growth and cash management services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage potential clients by cultivating, sustaining, and utilizing personal networks; establish and nurture a network of prospective client referral sources through community involvement and business development initiatives.
  • Identify growth opportunities by assessing the needs of prospective clients and offering suitable financial solutions.
  • Conduct strategic pre-call planning within assigned markets or geographic areas to maintain a robust pipeline of prospects.
  • Attend internal and community events to strengthen personal brand, foster relationships, and enhance the Bank's community presence.
  • Collaborate effectively with Business Relationship Manager, branches, and department leadership as required.
  • Advise mid- and senior-level management on business trends to support the development of new services, products, and pricing strategies.
  • Generate sales leads through prospecting, networking, and leveraging established Bank relationships, partnering with other departments such as Commercial Mortgage and Equipment Finance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

SKILLS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional training required.
  • 4 + years of banking/finance experience.
  • Sales or deposit gathering experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Detail oriented and able to multitask.
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
