| Position Summary |
The main duty of this position is as the Data Manager and analyst for a laboratory that is focused on the study of human tumors through the use of multiple genomic technologies. The methods used include gene expression profiling using bulk RNAseq and scRNAseq, DNAseq, and spatial transcriptomics. The main projects are the analysis of gene expression patterns in malignant human tumor samples mostly coming from clinical trials and preclinical model systems, and on the continued development of genomic-based biomarkers for cancer patients therapy prediction.
The individual who will fill this position will be expected to design and perform statistical analyses of gene expression and tumor
DNA data and will be versed in methods for the biostatistical analysis of survival and response prediction methods coming from human oncology clinical trials. In addition, this individual will also be required to analyze Illumina-based sequencing data, and spatial transcriptomics data, thus experience with one or both of these data types is desired. Finally, additional main responsibilities will include Data Management and organization using in house Databases and National Data Repositories as well. Many database queries will be expected as part of the Data Management, with regular reports required. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure. |

- Degree in statistics or bioinformatics relevant field.
- Three or more years of analysis experience with DNA/RNA sequencing data analysis.

- Advanced degree (PhD) in statistics or bioinformatics relevant field.
- Experience with analysis in R.
