Assistant SUAS Instructor

Valiant is seeking a mission-ready Assistant SUAS Instructor to join our team. You will be working with the Training Support Systems (TSS) Program, National Training Center (NTC), and Fort Irwin, CA. The TSS operations support the NTC mission: to provide realistic joint and combined arms training focused on developing soldiers, leaders, and units of the United States military for success on the 21st Century Battlefield. Under the direction of the NTC Training Support Center (TSC) Manager, with minimum supervision, serves as the Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) Training Device Assistant Instructor with responsibility for issuing, receiving, and providing training instruction for all Counter-Improvised Explosive Device Integration Cells (CI2C) equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with minimum supervision.
• Provide Field Service Representatives (FSR) to perform sustainment level maintenance and repairs on SUAS.
• Perform troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair of SUAS.
• Package Systems and Parts in accordance with Government defined standards for shipment and storage prior to return to the supply chain.
• Attend meetings and provide recommendations regarding repair, maintenance, and technical matters
• Provide support for gathering, inventorying, shipping, issuing, and operator instructions in support of SUAS and One System Remote Video Terminal (OSRVT)
• Furnish SUAS Units with technical support, system employment and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP) information, transportation and operational support functions.
• Conduct flight and new operator's certifications, currency training, local flight procedures in accordance with the Government's SUAS Program of Instructions (POI)
• Certify and instruct all system flight profiles in accordance with AR 95-20 Contractor's Flight and Ground Operations, AR 95-23 Unmanned Aircraft System Flight Regulations, and TC 3-04.62 Small UAS Aircrew Training Manual. The contractor shall adhere to all U.S. Army, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), supported unit regulations, SOP, and other applicable policies and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to Company policies, practices and procedures.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and Quality Control standards are met.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to attain all Required certifications and licenses

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

2+ years of experience.

Extensive experience in the use of SUAS/CI2C/CTS systems and devices.

Must have a valid California driver's license.

Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) to utilize government operating systems.

Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Available for overtime as needed.

Ability to travel as needed.

PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift 45lb.
• Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
• Position: Shop environment, frequently outdoors. Frequent exposure to dust, desert pollen, extreme heat and cold associated with desert environment and natural conditions existing on Fort Irwin.
