ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES





Duties shall include, but are not limited to the following:





  • Supervise Crew Scheduling Department
  • Assists Manager of Crew Scheduling in his/her duties
  • Recommend to management new or improved operational policies, practices, or procedures
  • Assist in recruiting Crew Scheduling personnel
  • Provides general supervision over Crew Scheduling and Crew Planning
  • Ensures adequate Crew Scheduling personnel training
  • Assist with development of manuals, procedures, and reports within the Crew Scheduling area
  • Assign crew members to flights in accordance with Regulations, Company policies and established procedures
  • May need to cover Scheduler/Planner shifts as needed
  • Responsible for the training of all new Schedulers




QUALIFICATIONS





  • Able to manage personnel in an intense, fast-paced environment
  • Possess a strong grasp of 121 FAR's
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of AIMS
  • One (1) year experience, or more, as a crew scheduler with a FAR Part 121 operator Able to gather and document detailed requirements
  • Good organization skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently while achieving deadlines and effectively communicating project status
  • Be proactive, solution-oriented
  • Possess strong sense of urgency




QUALIFICATIONS





  • Aptitude to learn and adapt to new technology in your day-to-day work
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word
  • Ability to multi-task, and think quickly and efficiently
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to act in the capacity of on-call management when required
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year Background/Criminal check and pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.




EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE





  • High school diploma or GED
  • Some college preferred

  • Stand - 5 %
  • Walk - 5%
  • Sit - 90%




MENTAL CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS





  • Requires ability to handle numerous activities at once and complete in a timely manner
  • Assists the Manger of Crew Scheduling managing work in a time-sensitive environment and effectively handle stress that is associated with meeting deadlines, and managing unexpected change
  • Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions
  • Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully with significant detail
  • Ability to make decisions which have a significant impact on the immediate work unit, and monitor impact outside immediate work unit
  • Ability to express clear communication orally and in writing
  • Must possess excellent customer service, and organizational skills
