Copper River Strategies is seeking a highly qualified Program Manager (Registered Nurse) to support operations for the Department of Energy in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective review, submission, and approval of medical protocols and procedures, including medical authorizations. The Program Manager will serve as the primary interface with government stakeholders and ensure contract performance meets all operational, clinical, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities(include but are not limited to):



  • Serve as the contractor's primary point of contact and authorized interface with the Contracting Officer (CO), Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and government personnel.
  • Provide overall leadership and accountability for contract performance, including staffing, scheduling, and quality assurance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate review, submission, and approval of medical protocols, procedures, and authorizations.
  • Develop and enforce work standards, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient program execution.
  • Supervise contractor personnel, assign schedules, and resolve performance issues or discrepancies.
  • Communicate organizational goals, policies, and expectations to staff.
  • Manage program operations including budgeting, staffing, and client coordination.
  • Ensure delivery of occupational and medical health services, including:

    • Emergency medical care and first aid
    • Treatment of minor illnesses and injuries
    • Nursing case management and employee health support
    • Administration of medical tests, immunizations, and pre-examination procedures
    • Coordination and referral for routine or emergency medical care




Essential Job Requirements:



  • Clearance


    • Active Secret clearance or Department of Energy "L" clearance



  • Education/Certifications:


    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
    • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse



  • Required Knowledge/Experience:

    • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience
    • Demonstrated experience in program management, including:

      • Staffing and personnel management
      • Budgeting and resource allocation
      • Scheduling and operational oversight
      • Client and stakeholder engagement
