Fox Corporation is seeking a Vice President, Federal Communication Commission (FCC) Legal & Business Affairs as part of our Legal/Government Relations team. This is a legal practitioner role, focused on day-to-day FCC legal compliance matters and policy matters supporting all FOX constituents, as well as providing guidance on FCC legal/compliance/policy matters to business units.

This is an onsite position based in Washington, D.C.

A SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide guidance and ensure compliance with all FCC broadcast and related rules, regulations, and policies, such as applications and licensing; political broadcasting/advertising; kid/vid; network-affiliate relationship; closed captioning; retransmission consent, streaming, and other distribution matters
  • Provide advice and counsel on relevant FTC and state rules and policies
  • Support retransmission consent negotiations and other distribution deals, mergers, acquisitions and FCC-regulated spectrum management matters

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 7+ years of legal experience in communications law
  • Deep understanding and experience with the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, media regulation, and policy
  • Experience negotiating retransmission consent agreements, FCC-related mergers and acquisitions, and spectrum management
  • Understanding of the broadcast television business
  • Law degree and Bar admission

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $247,000.00-300,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
