Manager, Implementation & Delivery Management

The Manager, Delivery & Implementation is responsible for leading, evolving and improving the training, performance and execution of the Delivery & Implementation team. Under the direction of the Director, Implementation & Delivery Management, this position plays a key role in helping to recruit, retain, develop and enhance the skills of the consultants that are working with customers every day. This position requires a mix of cross-functional and customer facing activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Directs the activities of assigned staff

Manages the activities of the Software Consultants

Responsible for the selection and hiring of new employees

Coaches, manages the performance of, rewards, and motivates the team members.

Discipline authority up to and including the recommendation of termination as necessary

Works with the Director in defining processes, workload, and schedules.

Works with Resource Management on resource allocation decisions for customer implementations.

Directs the interpretation and application of policies (i.e., expense report approval, PTO management).

Leads internal consulting team initiatives and works cross-functionally to ensure that inter-departmental needs are met.

Responsible for ensuring team members meet established KPIs and OKRs

Responsible for facilitating training for Software Consultants

Works with Learning & Enablement to ensure that new Consultants have a consistent and rapid on-boarding process that allows them to be billable within three months

Identifies gaps in the existing team's knowledge and facilitates the training necessary to enable the Consultants to be proficient at implementing additional features and products.

Evaluates the readiness of a consultant to be able to implement customers independently.

Customer Management

Exists as an escalation point for customer needs and can quickly assess the root of these needs, and creates and executes a plan to address the needs.

  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills. Listens effectively, transmits information accurately and understandably, and actively seeks feedback. Effectively presents and explains information to various group sizes and levels of knowledge.

  • Well-organized, self-directed team player. Open to others' ideas, and exhibits willingness to try new things.

  • Effectively manages competing demands, adapts to changes in the work environment, and is responsive to frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

  • Prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree business/accounting, training or technology plus five (5) years project management or software consulting; or comparable relevant experience.

  • Proven leadership and employee relations skills. Including a minimum of five (5) years leading teams and developing new employees within a business.

  • Subject matter expertise in two or more of the following areas:

    • Consulting principles and practices

  • Accounting principles and practices

  • Construction project management principles and practices

  • High level of customer support experience. Excellent process planning, time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills.

  • Accomplished client-management skills, relationship-building skills, requirements gathering experience, and negotiating skills.

  • Comfortable working within a matrix environment where others are running the tactics of implementations

  • Understanding of general business and accounting principles and practices sufficient to manage accounting system data conversions efficiently and effectively

  • Must be able to consistently perform assigned work within established deadlines.

  • This position requires both domestic and international travel up to 35%. Travel requirements may vary depending on customer and team needs. The successful candidate will be willing and able to meet travel requirements. A valid driver's license and ability to qualify for a US Passport are required.

Preferred:

  • MBA or Masters in accounting, training or technology

  • Experience using construction accounting software

  • PMP certification a plus

Working Conditions

Work takes place in a variety of settings as follows:

  • In an office setting that requires the ability to sit and work at a keyboard and computer monitor for extended periods of time, and to communicate with customers and co-workers by phone and computer.

  • In various settings related to on-site customer engagements and consultant training. This includes travel to and from site via car, train, and airline, standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time, presentation of training/consulting topics, and overnight hotel stays.

  • High stress may occur.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

Direct Reports: Assigned Consultants and Trainers

Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
