Sony Music Entertainment is a member of the Sony family of global companies.

Jive Records is a storied label with a rich legacy in contemporary music, home to some of the most iconic artists in modern music history. As we continue to build on that legacy, we are seeking a Director of Marketing to join our team - a passionate, digital-savvy creative who knows how to build campaigns that resonate across audiences and genres.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for single, video, and album releases across Jive's diverse roster
  • Drive artist development strategy in partnership with A&R, management, and creative teams - building long-term brand narratives alongside release campaigns
  • Own digital and social marketing strategy, leveraging platform expertise (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, DSPs) to grow audiences, deepen fan engagement, and drive streaming demand
  • Work closely with platform partners (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, TIDAL) to maximize editorial placement and promotional opportunities
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators including streams, playlist adds, social engagement, and audience growth - and adjust campaigns accordingly
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with radio, publicity, creative, and sync teams to ensure cohesive, high-impact releases
  • Manage relationships with external partners including digital agencies, influencer networks, and content creators
  • Contribute to artist pitch meetings and internal business reviews with thoughtful, data-supported marketing perspectives
  • Manage marketing budgets efficiently, tracking spends against goals and reporting on ROI

Who you are:

  • 6-9 years of progressive marketing experience in the music industry, with a strong track record in recorded music campaigns
  • Broad knowledge of the contemporary music landscape and an ability to adapt strategy across genres and audiences
  • Proven experience managing album and single release campaigns from conception through execution
  • Skilled at artist-facing communication - you know how to build trust with talent and their teams
  • Strong digital and social instincts, with hands-on experience using platform tools and analytics to drive results
  • Comfortable being both creative and analytical - equally at home in a brainstorm and a performance dashboard
  • Experience managing budgets and working within cross-functional team structures
  • A natural collaborator with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage high volumes of competing priorities

What we give you:

  • You join an inclusive, collaborative and global community where you have the opportunity to channel your passion every day
  • A modern office environment designed to foster productivity, creativity, and teamwork empowering you to bring your best
  • An attractive and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life & disability coverage, and 401K + employer matching
  • Voluntary benefits like company-paid identity theft protection and resources for pets, mental health and meditation resources, industry-leading fertility coverage, fully paid leave for childbirth or bonding, fully paid leave for caregivers, programs for loved ones with developmental disabilities and neurodiversity, subsidized back-up child and elder care, and reimbursement for adoption, surrogacy, tuition, and student loans
  • Investment in your professional growth and development enabling you to thrive in our vibrant community.
  • The space to accelerate progress, positively disrupt, and create what happens next
  • Time off for a winter recess
