Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst position plays a critical role in managing the Bank's financial strategy through budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and financial reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst will partner with senior and executive leadership across the bank to provide strategic insights while maintaining and managing data integrity. The Senior Financial Analyst will train FP&A team members for further development of the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Review and maintain financial packages prepared for executive management and Board
  • Improve and sustain FP&A processes through automation, dashboarding, and enhanced data quality
  • Lead the data maintenance components of the FP&A process
  • Work with IT and Accounting teams to optimize reporting tools and financial systems
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data used in planning and reporting
  • Conduct profitability analysis by product, branch, and customer segment
  • Manage and execute complex financial planning models; including budget, forecast and scenario analyses
  • Analyze variances vs. budget, forecast, and prior periods; identify drivers and recommend actions
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements and audit requests
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and additional duties as requested, needed or assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS



  • Ability to lead, manage and develop a team
  • Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel skills (Axiom experience a plus)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly
  • Ability to conduct data analysis and resolve complex problems independently
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, banking financial statements, and interest-rate dynamics
  • Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion are required
  • Ability to adhere to Needham Bank's Core Values


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE



  • Minimum 5 years working experience within a financial institution
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred
  • Financial modeling analysis and data quality experience is preferred
  • Query-based report writing experience
  • Experience working with core banking (COCC preferred) and accounting systems (Prologue preferred)
  • Experience working in FP&A software (Axiom/Strata preferred)
  • Knowledge of procedural controls and data validation techniques required
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and techniques


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS



  • Normal business office environment


PAY RANGE: $86,534.22 - $121,147.91/year

The pay range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the pay range for this job at the time of posting. Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, and market factors; additional compensation may apply.
