Application Architect

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Production Services Specialist for a hybrid position located in New York, NY. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This position requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Provide front line technical support to end user requests and issues for an Equities Derivatives & Swaps production services team
• Manage application platform monitoring and support
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative actions to ensure stability and resiliency across all services
• Lead incident and problem management activities and onboard applications
• Effectively communicate to stakeholders for front office trading applications as part of a global production services team
• Learn the business and technical components of an application and work with peers to ensure stable release deployments and platform stability

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Application support/development, ensuring stability for critical Trading platforms in a global, team-oriented environment
• Experience with distributed application platforms: Windows, UNIX, LINUX, SQL
• Ability to lead triage and solve production outage situations under tight deadlines, including root cause and problem resolution follow-ups
• Experience with monitoring tools such as ITRS Geneos, Splunk, Dynatrace
• Knowledge of Equities asset class and related trade processing flows
• Programming skills: Python, Unix/scripting, Java
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of ITIL & SDLC principles and execution
• Experience in coordinating with offshore/onshore support, business, vendor, and infrastructure partners

Desired skills:

• Hands on experience providing direct support to front office trading desks
• Results oriented, with the ability to effectively collaborate with Senior Management and Business Partners to find solutions
• Experience with Autosys, Ansible, Grafana, or Grid computing
• Knowledge of Tibco, MQ, Cloud, or IBM OpenShift

Pay range: $67.29 - $75.29 per hour
