About the Role

We are seeking a driven Production Supervisor to lead operations in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for achieving daily production targets while ensuring safety, quality, cost efficiency, and environmental compliance. You will lead a large hourly workforce, drive lean manufacturing initiatives, and support continuous improvement across operations.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead daily production to meet output, quality, and safety goals
  • Supervise and develop a union workforce in a high-volume manufacturing setting
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Troubleshoot production issues and lead root cause problem solving
  • Coordinate material flow and communicate with plants, suppliers, and leadership
  • Manage shift operations, including delays, breakdowns, and incident response
  • Ensure proper shift handoff communication and reporting
  • Promote a strong safety culture and enforce compliance standards



Required Qualifications



  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in automotive manufacturing
  • Experience in a union environment
  • Knowledge of CNC machining, welding, assembly, or stamping operations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage large teams in a fast-paced production environment



Preferred Skills



  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
  • Proven ability to lead and develop non-skilled operator teams
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities



Additional Details



  • Contract role with potential for full-time conversion (6+ months)
  • In-person, behavior-based interview process
