EHSQ IMS Coordinator (Contract)

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: 6 months (potential to extend)

Pay: $45-$52/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced EHSQ IMS Coordinator to lead and manage an Integrated Management System (IMS) across Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety. This role drives ISO compliance, continuous improvement, audit readiness, and regulatory adherence within a chemical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, RC14001)
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations
  • Manage CAPA, nonconformance investigations, and root cause analysis
  • Plan, conduct, and oversee internal and external audits; ensure timely closure of findings
  • Develop SOPs, process maps, and documentation within the document management system
  • Facilitate management reviews, quality committees, and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, KPI tracking)
  • Investigate customer complaints and drive corrective actions
  • Support supplier audits and vendor quality performance
  • Deliver IMS training and onboarding to promote a culture of quality and safety
  • Provide quality and technical support to plant operations and cross-functional teams



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within chemical manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards and IMS frameworks
  • Certified ISO Lead Auditor required (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, RC14001/RCMS preferred)
  • Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA management
  • Lean Six Sigma experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of SAP and SharePoint
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
